Restriction City - Population: ME!

It's amazing what restriction can do for you. Not only physically but psychologically too. I had my fill on Monday and now, Wednesday morning, I'm already down 1.5kgs and my mind is nearly completely off food again. I had a yoghurt at lunch yesterday and wasn't hungry till dinner time! Ok, yes I may have had one or two or 5 baci chocolates but hey it was my birthday so 1) they don't count and 2) they were a gift so it would be rude not to eat them! And more importantly I wasn't hungry which I have been for the last 2 months!

GB cooked dinner for me last night - ricotta & spinach canneloni - he did such an awesome job! Actually, I'll post a pic:

To give you an idea on size. That's a side plate not a normal size dinner plate. Anyway it took my ages to eat it and I was fully satisfied afterwards. I didn't want the icecream or milo I've been having as "secondsies" the last couple of months. I did have a slither of birthday cheesecake though -

I actually only managed to eat about half this bit.

Unfortunately I did end up PBing later that night - I had excruciating back pain even though I didn't "feel" stuck. I think it was the 3 BBQ potato chips that I nicked of GB that broke the camel's back so to speak.

But it's also been great to wake up and not feel hungry! So hopefully the extra *cough* weight I've put on will come off over the next few weeks. I promise, no matter how bad it is, that I will post my weight on Friday.

Going to be an interesting weekend as we're going down to Yallingup for 3 nights which usually means lots of wine & cheese and fantastic food. But I AM going to go for a walk/run every day. I AM!

Too.Much.Food

OMG. I went out for dinner with the fam last night. I ate maybe a third of my meal and I can STILL feel it sitting there. SOOOOO bloated. But anyway let's back it up.

TTOM helped me achieve another 1+kg loss on Friday... less than a kilo away from the 70's! Unfortunately given the 4 day weekend I just had I'm pretty sure it'll be further away this Friday. I was even too scared to sneak a peak at the scales this morning. Friday, GB and I took the day off to hang out just us. So we went and saw State of Play at the movies. By the way if you're ever wondering where people over the age of 60 go on friday mornings - it's to the movies. I briefly wondered how early was too early for a choc top and decided 10am was fine! We went into the city to Solid Gold to check out wedding bands. Both of us shocked at the prices quoted! Met up with some friends at the Belgium Beer Cafe for an hour or so. Then we went to Coco's for date night (my choice) which was really nice. They have small or large meals there so GB got a small risotto (super tasty) and I got a small red emperor (also very tasty) and I will not deny that I had a piece of cake for dessert. Not to mention the bottle of wine.

On Saturday my sister's took me birthday shopping. I picked up a great red coat from Target which according to my sisters accentuates my tiny waist. Also got a black top from Forever Now (a non big fatty shop!) and both were in a size 14 - yippee!!! Meanwhile GB went shopping BY HIMSELF and bought new jeans, a new shirt and new shoes. He was very nervous about showing the outfit to me but there was no need - super hot! And size 33 jeans - what a skinny minny! We hung out together that night and watched that Zohan flick.

On Sunday GB had organised a lunch with most of our friends at Elmer's in the Swan Valley. Food was ok. I had a chicken caesar (ate about a quarter) and it was quite tasty. Filled up on cocktails and cake :). After lunch (about 5pm) my sisters and a couple friends came back to our place where we sang and danced all night - good times.

Monday morning GB cooked up a big brekkie for my sis and her fiance who had stayed the night and I had a poached egg on toast. Should have finished about 3 bites earlier as that was what I seemed to PB back up. Damn. Then he went off at about 10am and came back with cheesecake for my birthday so I had some of that (half a slice, then the rest a few hours later). Delish! Didn't eat lunch, just watched yet another flick (Eagle Eye - pretty good) and caught up with his folks for an hour. Which gets us back to the beginning of dinner out with the fam and me feeling soooooo bloated.

Some lovely lightening this morning. Poor little Westie was hiding in the walk in robe behind the washing basket. First time we've seen her that scared in a storm. It was so hard to leave her to come to work.

GB and I are starting ballroom dancing lessons tonight. Should be fun!!!

Anyway hope everyone is well! And congrats to Cara who has joined the Bandit world.

Birthday Week

Hi All,

Thanks for all your comments - I really appreciate it. Have had a MASSIVE Week! GB had organised lunch for me on friday so I came home and had decided to take the afternoon off work so we could enjoy a vino with lunch. GB asked me to go upstairs and grab the camera and as I got upstairs I noticed on the bed a red rose, a note and a bag. The note said I had 10mins to pack for 3 nights and it was the beginning of my birthday weekend! So I quickly  packed and we got in the car with Westie and headed south. I tried to guess where we were going but GB wouldn't say. We finally ended up at some chalets just out of Pemberton (about 4.5hrs from Perth). We stopped at the office and GB went and spoke to the owner and hopped back in the car and said we were in Chalet 1. As we got there I said - "this can't be ours, there's someone's car already there. Chalet 1 must be at the other end". Then I looked properly at the car and realised it belonged to one of our friends, who poked her head out of the door at that minute! Turns out GB had organised a weekend away with all our friends! Slowly people started showing up including my sisters till there was 15 of us! He had  booked out all 4 chalets so we had the place to ourselves. It was fantastic. We basically had a 3 day party, hanging out, playing games, going to wineries. GB had organised all the food and everything! You can see some photos on my flickr album to the right.

So food wise I was actually pretty good - not eating too much. But I did drink my body weight in champagne. On Friday morning I weighed myself and was already 1kg down from Wednesday's weigh in. Yesterday I weighed myself and had only put on 500g so still 500g down for the week. Not too bad. I didn't weigh in this morning though. We went to Gold Class movies to see Indiana Jones yesterday and pigged out on more champers, wedges, cheese and an icecream sundae! THen went out for dinner! Back into the healthy stuff today though!

All in all, have had a terrific birthday week - I'm completely rooted today though. Poor GB is still struggling with his back. The chiro doesn't seem to be working so he went to the doc today and is going for xrays. Poor love.

Anyhoo, best get back to work!

Hope everyone else is going well.

10 Weeks down

Hiya,

Good weightloss for me this week - 1.3kgs - so very happy with that. It also meant that after 10 weeks banded I have kicked over 10kgs to the curb! Almost 11kgs. So although I may not be doing as well as others banded at the same time as me (I read on the Yahoo message board that some had lost about 15kgs), this is good steady weightloss for me and considering I didn't do Optifast very well (lost less than a kg) I'm happy with this result so far.

This has left me with 8.8kgs to lose before heading off to Europe in 8 weeks. Tough but do-able. Another tough aspect is that it's my birthday on Sunday which means this week will probably have numerous meals out and a touch of the alcohol. At least the band will stop me from eating the portions I would normally eat! Still, will try to up the exercising this week to compensate for the extra calories.

I get the feeling today is going to be a tough day. GB couldn't sleep this morning so got up ridiculously early for his walk with Westie. Then decided to go have coffee with his mum (who works as a cleaner) before going to work ridiculously early. Then of course I couldn't get back to sleep so decided I would go to work a bit early. Get to work and realise I've left my laptop at home. Grrrr. So had to go back home and get it. I mean we only live 8min drive away from work but still!!! And now people are annoying me. Bastards.

That's all from me today,

Em :)
